Business Challenge

Jerry wanted to create a Blue Ocean in the world of renovation by offering unlimited leads to its members at a nominal monthly fee. The land renovation market was filled with sites offering leads to its member at a cost per lead. With this idea in mind, Jerry set out to build an application where the home owners could collaborate with service providers or landscapers as they are called. These landscapers could advertise their portfolios on the site and be contactable. The home owners would benefit by receiving bids for their project from multiple service providers. The home owners would rate the service of the provider so that good providers can get more project and bad providers be penalized. The monthly fee would need to be automatically deducted every month from the subscribers.
QuicSolv Solution

We created a site whereby subscribers would register themselves under the category or categories of their expertise. Home owners would post their home renovation projects from the site and they could feature the project on the home page of the site by just paying a small fee. Email templates with place holders made so that the content of the email could be managed from the administration panel. Subscribers would be able to add their portfolio on the site and this could be easily viewed by the home owners using a slideshow feature.

Once a home owner has put his project on the site, an email is sent to all the users who have registered under the same category. The interested subscribers would place their bid on the project and send private communication to the home owner. The home owner can now, select the bid that fits his budget and scope etc. Having awarded the project to the most competitive supplier, the home owner will be asked to rate the supplier on the quality of service provided so that other buyers can benefit from the rating.

Paypal API ’s were used for recurring payments. We setup paypal merchant accounts and used the paypal api credentials to authenticate the supplier. A promotion code feature was installed to help promoting the site.
