Community Chat is Drupal module which gives the ability to provide a chat feature for drupal websites. This chat feature works for registered users on the site. This module also provides the ability to change your chat preferences (whether you want to be available for other users to be able to chat with you for any time frame.). It is completely an ajax based chat to update chat messages without reloading the page. This chat feature is aimed primarily at tight integration with Drupal, not at being a highly scalable IRC or XMPP style solution.

Business Challenge

There were no such efficient AJAX based chat modules available anywhere as a contributed module in the market for Drupal websites till then. So, we had to build it on our own starting from scratch. It was a quite challenging task for us because we had to think of a way to keep it in exact Drupal format to code and integrate with the Drupal website.
QuicSolv Solution

We built the module, completely coded in a Drupal format, easy to integrate and the way exactly it was required by our customer. Considering the unavailability of such module in the market, now we are working on the module to make it highly customizable according to various websites themes and easy to install. Soon, we are going to contribute the module to drupal.org.
